Abstract

Quran recitation in the style of music is a form of Quranic recitation where the reciter incorporates musical elements into the recitation of the Qur'an. This can involve the use of rhythm, melody, and harmony to create a more melodic and musical interpretation of the Qur'anic verses. This style of recitation has gained popularity in many Muslim communities, as it is seen as a way to add an emotional and spiritual dimension to the recitation of the Qur'an. The use of music in Quranic recitation is not new, as many early Islamic scholars incorporated musical elements into their recitation in order to express the beauty and majesty of the Qur'an. However, this style of Quranic recitation is a matter of debate in the Islamic community, with some scholars considering it permissible while others view it as inappropriate or even haram (forbidden). Those who support this style argue that it can enhance the listener's experience of the Qur'an and deepen their connection with its message, while those who oppose it believe that it is disrespectful to the sanctity of the Qur'an and that the Qur'an should be recited in its pure form, free from musical elements. This article delves into the subject with thoroughness.
