The Logical Reasoning of Qira’at: its Kinds and Applications

Abstract

Ilm Tojih is one of the Quranic sciences which promotes Qira’aat and defends them from every evil and rebut.It approves Qira’aat with logical justification and provides solution to the doubts of refuters. This science helps to explain three main organs of Qira’aat and proves their adaptation with authentic Qira’aat. The most beautiful feature of this science is its existence as center of sciences. Its researcher gets good opportunity to fly in the world of knowledge. Sometimes, He have to go through the principles of Ilm Nahw and Ilm Sarf to elaborate the garramatic reasons of Qira’at. Sometimes, he have to study Quranic exegeses deeply to explain the reason of meaning. Sometimes, Ilm Ashbah wa Nazair (Science of Synonyms) remains under cdiscussion to find out the similar words.Sometimes , the context gives the logical reasoning of qira’at.Sometimes, Otoman scriptures (Masahif Usmani)are studied to sort out the reasoning of writing. Sometimes, It provides opportunity to dive into different schools of thought of Islamic jurisprudence and sometimes, arabic potry, arabic sayings and use of similies are presented to approve Qira’aat.In this article, it has been strived specifically to explore this beautiful feature of Ilm Tojih Qia’aat.In following lines, brief introduction of the said science, kinds of logical reasoning alongwith its examples have been narrated  so that reader may know the depth of this science and reasearchers may have attention to this great subject
