Abstract

Cocurricular activities are important for building a balanced personality of studentsa. There are more than 35000 religious’ institutions in Pakistan. Millions of students are enrolled in these deeni madaris. The present research article is aimed at investigating the permissibility of cocurricular activities in the teaching Wisdon of Holy Prophet (SAW) and its prospect application in the Deeni Madāris. The narrative and analytical approach has been used to answer the research question. It has been observed that there is wide range of cocurricular activities found in the teaching pedagogy of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The cocurricular activities mentioned in the books of hadith and Seerah are helpful in the complete personality development of the students. From the examples of the Seerah proposed framework for Deeni Madāris has been presented to implement cocurricular activities in them. It will not also help to enhance learning outcomes but also will be beneficial to draw a soft image of Deeni Madāris to the common people and critics.
