The Concept of Public Welfare in the Miracles of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)

Abstract

This research explores the aspects of public welfare found in the Miracles of the Holy Prophet  Muhammad (PBUH). While these miracles were primarily created to prove and evidence the honesty of the Prophets and Messengers in their claims of Prophethood, they also embodied immense mercy and compassion. The Almighty Allah endowed these miracles upon the Prophets and Messengers not only as signs of their divine authority but also as solutions to the problems faced by people, highlighting their welfare aspects. The miracles of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) provided unparalleled examples of addressing both the spiritual and material needs of human beings. This study particularly emphasizes that one of the significant aspects of the miracles of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was their contribution to public welfare for the people of his Ummah. Some miracles were bestowed upon individuals but held broader implications and benefits for humankind. This research aims to elucidate these aspects, demonstrating how the miracles served the dual purpose of affirming Prophethood and enhancing public welfare.
