Abstract

Preaching and sermons have always been such a perfect attribute of the Prophets, through which the servants of God are reformed and guided. There are many methods and styles of preaching and “sermons” are one of them, through which the preacher uses his beliefs, emotions, feelings, and ideas to convey his thoughts and apologetic conscience to others. Undoubtedly, the power of speech and expression is a great blessing that Allah Almighty bestows on His prophets because the delivery of a sermon is not just an art, but it holds a place of high level of worship in the religion of Islam. All the qualities such as eloquence, charm, and good style of speech were part of the character of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as an orator. Eloquence is one of the special qualities of man, thanks to which he wins the hearts of the audience by revealing his past conscience in a good manner and awakening their dormant powers, and creating a great revolution in the world. The style of the Prophet's (PBUH) sermons also created such a revolution in the history of Islam, which has no precedent in the world of speech styles. The Prophets are such famous and great personalities in the history of Islam who used speech and oration as a means to convey the orders and teachings given by Allah SubhanahuwaTa'ala to the people. The sermons of the Prophet ﷺ and his ways and methods are practical examples and legal precedents for the entire Muslim Ummah. An excellent speaker is one whose speech is organized. This arrangement creates verbal beauty, which has a good effect on the reader and listener. His (PBUH) sermons also contain these methods and ways.
